Digital Art and Commissions

Digital art & commissions

I've only gotten into digital drawing over the last few years, but it's quickly become a big part of my life. It all culminated recently when I got a brand new drawing display, a huge upgrade from my ancient wacom interface. Since then, I've been drawing almost daily, and now, I've finally worked up the courage to open up commissions!

Feel free to message or email me if you're interested, and all my prices and products are listed HERE!

Youtube

I love watching long lets-plays, where I can snuggle up and watch a good story unfold, so I decided to start making some myself. What better way to practice editing and voice-acting? My channel is full of beautiful story-driven games, visual novels, and adventure RPG's (as well as a few fun horror games). Come hang out for a bit!

Present Laughter
Theatre

I'd been doing a bit of audio editing for a few years when I was asked to operate for Present Laughter. My Dad was designing and building the set and I came along to help him paint on occassion. They didn't have a sound operator for the show, heard I had a bit of audio experience, and offered me the opportunity, which I took, of course. Present Laughter was a super simple show to start on, I only had about 12 cues and all of it was already set up for me. It was a great experience though and I had so much fun, and apparently I did a good job because I was asked to work on the directors next show, The House of Bernarda Alba.

Alba was a big step up from my first show, having over fifty cues, many of which were layered. I had to teach myself a new program to pull it off on the small theatre's set up. Luckily this time I got to pick all the music out myself. I was so excited to work on the project, I had my draft playlist complete 3 months before rehearsals began, (and the entire playlist ended up making it into the show). Bernarda Alba was a fantastic show to work on. Trying to use the limited system to make an immersive soundscape has been quite the challenge, but pretty rewarding, and a good learning experience.

Since these initial two plays, I've worked on another three and am set to work on Mother of the Maid in 2023.

Both my parents did theatre when they were younger so it feels somewhat inevitable that I'm here, but I am very grateful for the opportunity. In fact, I've already been asked to design for a few new plays. I can't wait ^v^

Art & craft

I've found that I'm not really drawn to any one medium or form of art, more that I'll adapt and learn new skills according to whatever idea I have. I do traditional and digital drawing, painting (on canvas's and miniatures), prop making and sculpting, wood working and textiles. I suppose I specialise in mixed-media with intent. I tend to settle on an idea or an image and adapt my skills to suit. I even learnt a bit about lighting so I could rewire an old lamp I found on the side of the road.

One of my big art dreams, however, is to learn animatronics. Cosplay is a big culmination of my artistic hobbies and being able to create pieces that move independently feels like an epic next step.
